A WINCHESTER pub landlord has admitted attacking his wife.
Rob Plunton, 25, managing tenant at The Ship Inn, Wales Street, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of Hannah Plunton on July 4.
Plunton, now of Bishopstoke Lane, Brambridge, near Eastleigh, was remanded to attend for sentencing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on September 2.
He was released on conditional bail and told not to contact Mrs Plunton directly, indirectly or via a third party.
Magistrates ordered a pre-sentence report.
The Pluntons took over The Ship Inn last summer. After the attack it closed but has since reopened under new management.
They tied the knot at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Winchester, with TV star ‘Chico’ as their best man.
