POLICE are hunting burglars who plundered sentimental silverware and crystal from a Hampshire home.
The intruders staged their attack between 11pm on Tuesday and 4.15am on Wednesday at a house in Palmerston Way, Gosport.
A couple in their 60s awoke to find military tankards, memorabilia, silver keepsakes and coins had been stolen. One of the items was a silver plated oval tray engraved “From the Captain and Officers HMS London 7th August 1976”.
The burglars also took a white leather Amphora handbag containing a small amount of cash.
