TWO men arrested after a 92- year-old man was robbed and thrown to the ground in a daylight attack have been bailed.
Police released the pair, aged 18 and 29, while they continue inquiries into the assault which happened moments after the pensioner had withdrawn £500 from the bank.
The ordeal happened in Shaftesbury Avenue, Portswood, on Tuesday, August 6.
The elderly man, who is thought have been followed by the thieves when he left Barclays bank on the high street, was left with a serious hand injury that required surgery.
The two men will answer bail on September 12.
