HAMPSHIRE’S Naked Rambler has appeared in court after being charged with breaching an antisocial behaviour order (Asbo).
As reported by the Daily Echo, Stephen Gough, 54, was arrested moments after being released from Winchester Prison.
He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court for trial on September 11.
The order bans him from baring all in public – specifically preventing him exposing his buttocks and genitals in public except for at nudist beaches, in changing rooms and for medical examinations.
It was served to Gough, a former Royal Marine, of Chamberlayne Road, Eastleigh, at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Breaching an Asbo can result in a prison sentence of up to five years.
