SOUTHAMPTON General Hospital is set for expansion work after a planning application was approved.
As part of its ongoing ten-year development plan for the hospital, the University Hospital Southampton Foundation NHS Trust (UHS) has won permission to build new store units on the roof of Level E and to connect with Level F.
Building work could begin in the coming months after Southampton City Council granted planning permission.
As part of the ten-year plan, UHS is building two new six-bed wards for patients requiring high- and low-risk isolation.
