A SOUTHAMPTON road has been reopened by police after a lorry attempting to climb a hill dumped a pile of concrete on the ground.
Police were called to Athelstan Road in Bitterne just before 12pm following several reports by residents.
Officers were at the scene and put up road closures in place at the junction with Crossroads and Peartree Avenue.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area while the Highways Agency dealt with the situation and cleared the road.
Anyone with information about the lorry, which left the scene, is asked to contact police on 101.
