BURGLARS stole a handbag and purse after getting in to a home through an open back door.

They stole a bright pink ‘Guess’ handbag and matching purse from the kitchen of the house in Mays Lane, Stubbington.

The homeowner and a relative were at home at the time.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened between 1.15pm and 2.30pm, on August 9, and want to hear from people in the Mays Lane area between 1pm and 3pm on that day who may have seen or heard something suspicious.
