THIEVES have stolen a BMX bike belonging to an eight-year-old boy.

The VooDoo Malice bicycle was taken from the garden of a family home in the middle of the night along with a Vortex 360 stunt scooter.

PC Kerry Tribbeck said the bike was an early birthday present and was the “pride and joy” of the youngster ever since it was given to him.

The theft happened at a home in Beryton Road between 10pm on August 14 and 1am the next morning.
