A BUS operator has announced changes to its services.

Xelabus, based on the Barton Park Industrial Estate in Eastleigh, said it has been recruiting new drivers in order to extend its services in Chandler’s Ford and Eastleigh.

Changes will kick in from September.

In response to customer request, the X2 service to Boyatt Wood will now divert via Twyford Road to give customers a new link to Tesco and the Swan Shopping Centre in Eastleigh.

The X4 service will be replaced by a new X3 service, which the company said would increase the frequency of buses between Eastleigh bus station and Velmore Estate during the week.

It will continue to Asda and Valley Park.

The route will also provide a Monday to Friday service for Valley Park residents, an increase on the current three days. It will also stop outside the new B&Q headquarters in Chestnut Avenue.

The X7 service from Chandler’s Ford to Eastleigh will have a revised timetable.
