Instructors at New Forest Water Park have had a rather young pupil to teach recently – a six-year-old girl with a talent for wakeboarding.
Grace Lee, who has been staying at the park near Fordingbridge with her dad, Phil Lee, a UK wakeboard national champion, tried the sport alone for the first time at the facility.
Ben Jury, from the park, said Grace started off by standing on her dad’s wakeboard while he was going riding around the cable up in Sheffield.
“At just six years old it’s a great achievement to be standing on a wakeboard that’s bigger than you while being pulled along.
“Grace is our youngest wakeboarder this year and has done fantastically well to stand up on her first go.”
