Crook warned over 'a life in prison'
A SOUTHAMPTON judge told a persistent shoplifter: “You will spend much of your life in prison unless you stop.”
Judge Gary Burrell QC heard how Eamon Moran had walked out of a Regents Park shop with two bottles of champagne without attempting to pay.
Moran, 44, who was arrested at his lodgings in Millbrook Road East, admitted theft and was jailed for eight months.
The city Crown Court heard he had been a long-standing drug addict.
