TABLE tennis fans will have more game time thanks to a community grant.
Fareham Borough Council, through its Community Fund, has given the Generation 2 Table Tennis Club £2,360 to enable it to buy four new tables and expand.
The club, which trains at Neville Lovett School in Fareham, applied for funding as membership numbers had reached the point where those coming along were not getting the table time they needed to improve their game.
They are the current league champions in both Southampton and Fareham/Gosport divisions and have individuals playing at national level and competing in European championships.
The Community Fund supports projects that benefit the local community or environment.
Any resident or organisation based in the Fareham borough can apply.
