CHRISTMAS rail commuting will be made difficult around Fareham because of major engineering works.
Bus services will be running from Fareham and Portsmouth to Chichester during the first phase of scheduled work, taking place between Saturday, December 23, and Monday, January 1.
Routes to London that run through Gatwick will also be severely disrupted.
There will be no trains services between Fareham and Chichester on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
