CHRISTMAS celebrations have officially begun at a Hampshire funeral directors following the unveiling of its spectacular festive window displays.

Passers-by will now be able to stop and admire the two Christmas windows unveiled by Paul Capper Funeral Directors in Leigh Road, Eastleigh.

A seasonal nativity scene sits alongside a Victorian Christmas village lit up with thousands of fairy lights.

The funeral directors is also selling real Christmas trees, with all proceeds going towards the Wessex Cancer Trust. This has all been made possible thanks to the generous donation of all the trees by the Peters family, from Fair Oak, who, following the death of their mother wanted to help the charity.

Tina Wellman-Hawke, of the Wessex Cancer Trust, said: "The people at Paul Capper Funeral Directors have once again shown, at Christmas, their generosity and support for the Wessex Cancer Trust.

"The windows are the most stunning, beautiful, displays you are ever going to see."

They are also giving people the chance to remember a loved one this festive season with the selling of Christmas baubles for a donation of £1 to the Wessex Cancer Trust.

Personal messages can be attached to the bauble, which will then hang from the Eastleigh Borough Christmas tree.
