A TEENAGER was today fighting for his life after he was involved in an accident while riding a moped in Southampton.
The 17-year-old was riding the bike along Lordshill Centre West when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra at the junction with Tangmere Drive in Southampton.
The 38-year-old driver of the Astra was turning right into Tangmere Drive when the accident happened just after 6pm last night.
Paramedics and police were called to the scene and took the teenager, who has not been named, to Southampton General Hospital with injuries that were described as serious and life threatening.
