POLICE were continuing their investigations today after around 30 people were involved in a mass brawl in Southampton.
A man was left with serious head injuries following the fight, which broke out close to the city's Leisure World complex.
The trouble started near a burger van after clubbers spilled out from nightclubs in the area.
Several groups of people who were around the van became involved in the fight prompting calls to the police by concerned onlookers.
As officers arrived, the fighting mob broke up but police found a 28-year-old man who had suffered serious head injuries on the ground.
The victim, who is from London and was visiting Southampton with friends, was taken to Southampton General Hospital following the incident that happened at 3.45am on Saturday.
