Generous Harvey White knew exactly how to tame the wild beasts that have charged into Southampton this summer - with an ice lolly.

The two-year-old, concerned for the welfare of Rika the rhino, found grazing in Town Quay, shared his ice lolly with the sculpture as he waited for the ferry to take him over to the Isle of Wight.

His older sister Chloe, 13, however, did not quite have the same knack when it came to winning over the rhinos, almost getting trampled on by Mrs Hearty during a shopping trip in the city centre.

The siblings were caught on camera with the Go! Rhinos sculptures by their mum Lynne and are the latest entries into the Daily Echo’s Go! Rhinos photo competition, looking for the most imaginative ways to have your picture taken with one of the rhinos, without touching it.

Email your photographs to picdesk@dailyecho.co.uk, with your name, address, contact telephone number and the names and ages of those in the picture, plus where they are from.

For terms and conditions visit dailyecho.co.uk/competitions.

The official Go! Rhinos programme, containing the map of the route and pictures of all the rhinos and the stories behind them, is available from a number of places for £3, including WestQuay Information Desk, the Market Gallery in the Marlands and Sea City Museum.
