TWO young powerboaters were crowned winners of a national competition at this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show.

They were pitted against other young finalists from across the country.

William Hancock, 12, from Royal Lymington YC, and Harrison Faull, 14, pictured, from Royal Motor YC were tested on their boat handling skills in the 2013 Honda RYA Youth RIB Championship in a time trial to win a 4.8m Ribcraft or Honwave T40 for their club.

Even in heavy rain and strong winds, the two boys managed to overcome their competition and adverse weather conditions to come out on top.

The Honda RYA Youth RIB Champion of Clubs final has been postponed to a later date due to bad weather.
