THE body of a pensioner has been found in a Hampshire fishing pond.

Emergency crews were called to the South Pond in Bishops Waltham amid reports the body of an 85-year-old had been found.

There were attempts to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hampshire Constabulary have said the death is not being treated as suspicious.

The coroner and the man's next of kin have been informed about the discovery, which was made yesterday afternoon.
