ROYALTY will name a Hampshire firm’s newest vessel at the upcoming London Boat Show.
Princess Anne will be at the Churchouse Boats stand to name its newest vessel at the annual event, which takes place from tomorrow until January 12.
The Hampshire firm specialises in giving disabled people access to waterbased activities.
It is one of a number of firms from across the county hoping for a good start to 2014 at the show at the Excel Arena.
Raymarine, based in Fareham, will be exhibiting its bespoke marine electronic systems at the show.
River Hamble-based sailing, diving and watersports specialists Adark will also set up a stand at the show.
The event is considered to be one of the largest marine exhibitions in the country, alongside the Southampton Boat Show, which takes place in September.
It will boast a stunning range of boats from world famous brands, including the best of British manufacturers.
A number of vessels will make their debut, including the Fairline Targa 48 GT and Princess Yachts V48.
The show, now in its 60th year, will have an Adventurous Cruising Zone, where visitors will have the opportunity to learn directly from boat owners and industry experts, who have experienced the seas.
America’s Cup winner Sir Ben Ainslie will bring his JP Morgan BAR AC45 to the show and there is a chance for people to take part in a range of activities courtesy of the Rockley team.
Top sailors will compete in regattas in the dock, including racing yachts with fine art sails, and the winner of a nationwide competition for schoolchildren to design an art sail in aid of the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation – the show’s official charity for 2014 – will be announced.
The show coincides with The Telegraph Cruise Show, which will also be held at the arena between January 10-12.
Visitors to this event will have the chance to talk to experts from the world’s leading cruise lines and to listen to talks from celebrity travellers and Telegraph cruise specialists.
There will be exhibition stands to help uncover destinations around the world which cruisers can enjoy in 2014.
Tickets can be bought for the daily price of £10 at londonboatshow.com.
