Body found in the Solent
THE body of a man was found in the Solent yesterday.
It was discovered after being spotted close to the shoreline off East Cowes, near to Old Castle Point, at 9.32am yesterday.
Two members of Cowes RNLI lifeboat went into the water to help police with the recovery of the body.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious and the identity of the man, who is middle-aged, has not been revealed.
