A MAN was killed after a car went out of control near the Hampshire town of Fordingbridge.
Two men were thrown out of the green Volkswagen Golf after it crashed into trees on one side of the road and then bounced back across the road before finally stopping on its roof.
The accident happened as the car was travelling towards Fordingbridge along the B3078 Southampton Road at Godshill shortly before midnight on Friday.
One man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other has serious injuries and is receiving treatment at Southampton General Hospital.
Two ambulances, two rapid response vehicles and a doctor attended the crash.
The identity of the deceased man will be released after next-of-kin have been informed.
Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash. Witnesses should call the road death investigation team at Eastleigh on 0845 045 4545, quoting Operation Peel.
