THE Nuffield Theatre is calling on organisations to chip in with cash as their appeal gathers momentum.
The Appeal aims to raise £400,000 to go towards new talent, its youth and community projects and building improvements.
Recently Garfield Weston, Ford Britain and ADAPT (Access for Disabled People to Arts Premises Today) weighed in with £32,500 in total.
The Nuffield has already benefited from several cash injections but needs an extra push to go towards completion of the second phase of the appeal, a transformation of the theatre foyer.
Garfield Weston Trust, which offers grants to all kinds of charities, donated £30,000 and The Ford Britain Trust, which helps organisations with educational and community purposes, gave £2,000.
ADAPT rewarded the Nuffield for their good work in making itself fully accessible by donating £500.Work on phase two of the appeal will get underway this summer.
Richard Briers, Nuffield Appeal Patron, said: "Money raised will go towards a construction project designed to make the Nuffield a more accessible venue for all its users."
