SOUTHAMPTON'S multimillion pound state-of-the-art heart education and conference centre has appointed its new manager.
Wessex Heartbeat, the city-based heart charity, has just appointed Pamela Saunderson, right, as general manager to promote and manage its new Heartbeat Education Centre at Southampton General Hospital.
Terry Osborn, chief executive of Wessex Heartbeat, says that he is delighted that Pamela has agreed to promote and manage the centre that offers a 120-seat tiered lecture theatre, multi-purpose exhibition area and several seminar rooms.
He said: "The education centre will be officially opened in February but we are already taking bookings for this state of the art venue which includes video conferencing.
"While the centre is primarily for the training and communication needs of the Cardiac Centre, it is an ideal location for businesses.
"By hiring the facilities companies will contribute to the day to day running cost and support the charity."
Pamela, who has 17 years' experience in the conference industry, including Winchester Guildhall, says that she will be drawing on her experience to help plan the perfect event, ensuring that all of the customers will find that the Centre exceeds their expectations: For further information, please contact Pamela on 023 8079 5907.
