A WINCHESTER city councillor is pressing for safety measures on one of Hampshire's most dangerous crossroads.
A hedge obscures vision looking west from the B3046 at the junction with the A272 at New Cheriton, near Alresford.
Local city councillor Harry Verney, pictured, said the county council has agreed to remove a short section to improve visibility.
He said: "So far nothing has been done. It will only cost £400 to do, so I will chase the highways department."
Meanwhile Mr Verney is also relaunching a campaign for safety measures at a wet weather hazard following a serious car crash at the spot on New Year's Eve.
Mr Verney has been pressing for action over the A272 near Cheriton where a large puddle forms in very wet weather near Hockley House.
The puddle fills one carriageway and many drivers pull over into the opposite lane to pass the water. Cars driving through the puddle run the risk of aquaplaning.
