BUDDING designer Lucy Webster, from Winchester, has won a national competition to celebrate the launch of a new range of pasta meals for children.

Celebrity judge and leading designer Anna Ryder Richardson was on hand to congratulate Lucy, nine, on her success in the Dolmio contest.

The youngster's design for a new bespoke range of pasta bowls was judged the best out of hundreds of entries.

Lucy was presented with a signed copy of her winning designs, which will now be put into limited edition production. She also received a microwave and the full range of My Dolmio pasta meals.

Anna said of Lucy's winning design: "Lucy's design leapt out at me because of her obvious artistic aptitude.

"It was also clear that she had thought about family meal times and her finished design embodied all the qualities of a happy family meal time for me - including smiling food!"

Eight-year-old Phoebe Taylor, also from Winchester, was a runner-up in the competition and also received a signed copy of her design plus an exclusive designer dinner set.
