POLICE are hunting an armed robber who threatened staff at a Hampshire petrol station with a gun.
The man walked into the garage just after 8.30pm yesterday and pointed a handgun at a member of staff before demanding cash.
The cashier was forced to hand over an undisclosed amount of money before the man escaped from the petrol station at Fareham Road in Wickham.
He was thought to have run off along Fareham Road towards a nearby church.
The alarm was raised and uniformed officers conducted a search of the area while detectives interviewed staff.
The robbery is now being investigated by Winchester CID and officers are urging anyone with information to contact police on 0845 045 4545.
