AN elderly man was taken to hospital after a two-car collision.
Fire crews from Hightown were sent to the incident in South East Road, Sholing, Southampton, at around 7pm yesterday.
The collision involved a Kia and a Mitsubishi Shogun at the junction with the crossroads.
An elderly man was extricated by firefighters and taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
He suffered from back and spinal pain.
A total of nine firefighters and one officer attended the incident.
