A LONG-SERVING and much-liked councillor is standing down after 28 years.
Former mayor Ray Pearce, 76, has announced that he will not stand again after serving the St Paul ward in Winchester for 28 years.
Cllr Pearce, a former shop manager, was mayor in 1994-95 and was first elected to represent the Fulflood area for the Liberal Democrats in 1986.
