THE Moscow State Circus returns to the UK with a brand new show, bringing with it a 35-strong cast of Russia's greatest and most flexible circus performers.

They bring 200 years of circus tradition to Salisbury City Hall in one great show on February 7 and 8.

Many of the award-winning acts are pushing the boundary of human physical ingenuity to its limits.

Performances cover all the familiar circus skills such as clowning, juggling, trapeze artistry and extreme balancing acts.

The newly devised show includes a springboard troupe, brimming with talent and raw energy, catapulting themselves across the stage. Members of the troupe are performing unique tricks only seen in this act, including five backward somersaults from the springboard.

The Moscow State Aerialists show off a dizzy display of aerial gymnastics and breathtaking balancing action that defy gravity and the laws of physics.

Plus there's Gaucho, Illusion and Adagio Balancing acts and of course award-winning slapstick clowns. Traditional circuses are a rarity in many parts of the world, but the Moscow State Circus is one troupe keeping the art form vividly alive.
