A group of Hampshire football fans were due to set off this morning on a challenge to visit each of the 20 Premiership football grounds.

Dan Rourke and his friends will leave Swansea at 10am and travel north, hoping to cover all the grounds and finish at Southampton 24 hours later.

Dan, 31, from Whiteley, Martin Morris, Chris Bear-park, Steve Counsell, Andrew Hakin, Keith McIntyre, James Dobson, James Ford and Ben Turley, who all play for the same amateur football team, will share the driving.

Dan wanted to help other parents dealing with a miscarriage after his own personal heartbreak.

The friends will also be holding a meal and auction of donated sporting items at Horndean School on April 19 with former Portsmouth footballer and manager Guy Whittingham as guest.
