Mental healthcare service extended
Dorset HealthCare, in Southampton, has extended its contract to provide psychological therapy in the city after the NHS Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group re-tendered the service.
It means the current Steps2Wellbeing service takes on primary care counselling, previously managed by Southern Health.
Dr Colin Hicks, associate director for psychological therapies, said: “We’re delighted to have extended this contract, as well as taking over responsibility for the management of the primary care counselling service.
