ONE of the nation’s favourite doctors has praised a new multi-million-pound dementia care scheme.
Dr Hilary Jones said he was “blown away” by the £8.5m facilities at the Linden House complex in New Street, Lymington, which has created 100 jobs.
The TV doctor was speaking at a public open day at the home run by Lymington-based Colten Care.
As previously reported, the 60 residents at the home will be divided into four “house groups” that aim to generate a sense of safety, security and togetherness and will have access to a cinema, hair salon and cafe.
Dr Jones said Linden House acts as a shining light for the rest of the care sector.
He said: “I’ve been absolutely blown away by the attention to detail at Linden House. It’s stunning.”
