CHILDREN have every reason to smile at this Hampshire pre-school which was given a glowing report by inspectors.
Romsey Centre Pre-School, next to Romsey Abbey Primary School, was described as "good" with some outstanding features by the inspection team from the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted).
Staff were give the top marks of "outstanding" for the way they helped the children achieve well.
Inspectors also found that children were able to "flourish" in the stimulating and child-orientated environment.
The pre-school in Church Lane, Romsey, currently has a total of 34 youngsters on its books and caters for 24 a day, aged from two years and nine months up to school age.
Pre-school committee chairman Caroline Hill said: "Most of this success was down to the hard work and dedication of our fantastic staff and the voluntary parents' committee.
"Without them there would be no pre-school and everyone should feel proud of this achievement.
"I would particularly like to thank our supervisor, Nicky Atkins, whose leadership and management have been outstanding."
