A CAR park in the heart of a busy city centre will be shut for three days while a technical survey is carried out.
The Chesil Street surface car park in Winchester will be closed from Monday while a geotechnical survey is carried out by Tweedie Evans Consulting for Winchester City Council.
It comes amid plans that could see it swallowed up for extra housing.
A drilling rig will be brought on site to make a test borehole.
No final decision has been made about the plans.
