DESIGNER watches worth thousands of pounds were stolen by thieves in a late-night smash and grab raid at a Hampshire jeweller.
Beaverbrooks the Jewellers in Whiteley shopping centre had its window smashed by thieves using heavy duty tools late and a number of Tag Heur watches were then removed from the display.
The raid happened on Monday, April 14 between 12.20am and 1am and police believe that a stolen Mercedes estate vehicle was used in the raid.
PC Martin Campbell said: “This crime appears to have been carried out in a professional but blatant manner. I am urgently seeking information from people who may have seen the vehicle leaving the area at speed or may have been offered stolen items for.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Campbell at Fareham police station on 101.
