AN apprentice has won a prestigious award for his landscaping skills.
Steve Pidgeley, who works for gardening and landscaping firm Hambrooks, found success at the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards 2014.
His dedication won him a Highly Commended certificate in the Young Achiever Award category.
It was his natural ability in the field and his very high standard of workmanship, going the extra mile to ensure he gets everything right, that impressed the judges and his employers.
Managing Director of Hambrooks, Norman Hambrook, said: “Steve rightly deserves this award because from the outset, despite having no previous experience, he showed determination to learn and displayed outstanding dedication to his work to rapidly become a valuable member of the team.”
Hambrooks covers the whole of Hampshire and has a base in Titchfield.
