Thieves smashed their way into a jewellers’ display and made off with watches.
They struck at the Beaverbrook’s jewellers at Whiteley Shopping Centre between 12.20am and 1am yesterday.
They broke a window and removed a number of Tag Heuer watches, though police were not able to give further details about the value or quantity taken.
A Mercedes estate vehicle, believed to have been stolen, was used during the burglary.
PC Martin Campbell, of Fareham CID, said the burglary appeared to have been carried out in a professional manner and is appealing to people who may have seen the vehicle leaving the scene or may have been offered the stolen items for sale to come forward.
Call PC Campbell on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
