A HAMPSHIRE hospital boss has been named one of the best in the country.
Mary Edwards, who is chief executive of Hampshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, was named one of England’s top 50 health service chief executives by Health Service Journal.
Leading figures in healthcare compiled the list, looking at a variety of areas including communication and mentorship.
Mrs Edwards, who has been in the position for more than 11 years, said: “We are all trying to achieve the same goal, which is providing excellent service for our communities.
“I am helped enormously by the amazing people around me and our 5,000 staff, who work tirelessly every day to do their best for our patients. This recognition is for them as much as for me.”
