HEALTH bosses in Hampshire are urging people to keep safe this Easter.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) is reminding people to think before calling 999 and look at what other alternatives are out there.
Statistics shows that over bank holiday weekends, demand on the service rises between ten and 15 per cent, so people are being asked to consider other services first, such as local pharmacies, NHS Choices online and the minor injuries unit.
Mark Ainsworth, from SCAS, said: “We’d encourage everyone to use us appropriately and only use 999 and A&E in a genuine emergency situation.”
