PLANS to create Southampton’s first brew house in a historic city building will be decided next week.
The Dancing Man Brewery wants to convert the Wool House in Town Quay into a brew house and restaurant.
It would also house the city’s first tourist information centre since the one at the Civic Centre was closed by the city council in 2013.
The Grade I listed building used to house the city’s Maritime Museum, but that shut in 2012.
The brewery team’s plans, which feature an open-plan design for the historic building’s interior, are now set to go before the city council’s planning panel.
They have been recommended to approve the plans, which could result in 50 new jobs being created, at a meeting next Tuesday.
