SOUTHAMPTON children have enjoyed an ‘eggs-tra’ special day out.
Children in Southampton Young Carers Project were treated to a day out at Mansel Park Pavilion where they took part in sports, crafts and pizza making.
The event was organised by the older carers and supported by Southampton IT firm Amicus ITS, who chose the project for its charity of the year.
Amicus covered the £150 costs and handed out Easter Eggs to the youngsters.
Finance manager Alan Meldrum said: “We have chosen The Southampton Young Carers Project as our charity of the year because we believe it is important for local business to give something back to the community. It’s a fantastic charity that makes a real difference to young people that are faced with difficult circumstances in their lives.”
Amicus aims to raise £1,000 for the project by the end of the year.
