IT’S sure to be a sight for sore eyes when a group of bikers show off their finely tuned bodywork like never before – in a daring strip for charity!
Southampton’s Talking Heads pub will be the venue as members of the Too Old And Don’t care (TOADc) MCC club take to the stage and do the “Full Monty” tonight.
Members of the club will be stripping down to their birthday suits in aid of the Royal British Legion.
They are taking their inspiration from the 1997 comedy film hit The Full Monty, starring Robert Carlyle and Tom Wilkinson.
The film follows a group of former steelworkers in Sheffield who decide to strip in a bid to raise money to help one of their number make up missed child support payments.
Nicholas Nel, from the Isle of Wight-based club, said: “The legion is a cracking charity and we thought there are so many different ways of raising money, that we thought we’d take our clothes off.
“We’ve been doing rehear-sals, and then dress rehearsals – and now we’re at the stage where we’re thinking ||‘what are we doing?’.
“We’re feeling a little bit nervous, but we know what we’re doing.”
Eight members of the club will be doing the Full Monty to Tom Jones’ You Can Leave Your Hat On.
Five of their fellow bikers will also be stripping down to mankinis to Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff, and two of the wives of club members will be doing a burlesque dance.
They have already raised £1,100 and hope to top their target of £2,000 after the performance tonight.
There will also be music from DJ Riff Raff and band Zerofish at the event, which will start at 7pm.
Tickets are already sold out for the event at the Portswood venue, but there may be a few available on resale.
You can find out if tickets, which cost £5, are available by calling the pub on 023 8067 8446.
