A LEADING clothing and accessories brand is preparing for the launch of the Hampshire company’s latest store in the county.
Ten jobs will be created when Fat Face opens its doors in Romsey on Saturday.
With the opening of its new shop, Havant-based Fat Face will have 208 UK stores and others worldwide.
Store bosses at the new branch, in the former Stead and Simpson shoe shop in the town’s The Hundred, plan to celebrate the internationally-renowned retailer’s arrival by giving customers the chance to win a £250 Fat Face gift card and serving up ginger beer drinks.
Workmen are still putting the finishing touches to the shop which is on the ground floor of the Grade II listed building.
A Fat Face spokesman said: “We decided to open in Romsey because it has been on our radar for sometime – it is an attractive market town with a strong local identity as well as a great mix of retailers and quality independent stores. We are also well-known in the area having recently opened at Whiteley and upsized Southampton, therefore we feel that Romsey will complement these stores well.
“The shop will be fitted out in our award-winning store design concept, channelling the brand’s personality.
“Interesting props and quirky features help compliment the product range while providing customers with a truly unique shopping experience.”
