BREWERY bosses will find out today whether they will be able to transform one of Southampton’s oldest buildings.
The Dancing Man Brewery has applied to the city council to turn the Wool House into a brew house and restaurant, as well as the city’s first tourist information centre since the old one was closed last year.
They say their plans will respect the surroundings of the 14th century warehouse, while also opening it up again to residents.
The grade I listed building used to be the city’s Maritime Museum, which was closed in 2012, and has since been used as a community art venue.
Southampton City Council’s planning panel is recommended to approve the plans, which could create 50 jobs, at its meeting today.
