A HAMPSHIRE MP is calling on residents to vote for those they want working to improve shopping in their town.

Two new members are being elected to the Gosport Town Team, which features a mixture of local people, local business owners and council representatives.

Now Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage wants to ensure that people get their say on who they want in the team, which works to broaden the retail that the town offers, increase the take-up of empty units and enhance the shopping environment.

There are five candidates.

Ms Dinenage helped to secure £110,000 of Government funding to set up the Town Team in 2012.
