A WORKSHOP is being held for Hampshire’s eastern European community in a bid to help a growing number of migrants falling into debt.
The session, organised by Southampton- based advice and support service SOS Polonia, will take place on April 29.
Thanks to money from the Big Lottery Fund, the sessions are free and open to people who are struggling with debt.
Barbara Storey, founder of SOS Polonia, said the workshop had been organised because of the increasing number of people falling into debt because they do not understand the small print.
She said: “When you are a migrant with limited language skills and you don’t know where to go for help during a crisis, you are an easy target.”
The workshops are held in SOS Polonia in Terminus Terrace, Southampton.
Those wishing to attend can sign up now by text message to 07816 524987 or email info@sospolonia.net.
