BUDDING journalists got the chance to put together their own publications as part of a school project.
Pupils at Shirley Junior School managed to produce a host of stories and articles following a visit from the Daily Echo.
Year Four students found out what goes into producing a newspaper and how to write and design front-page stories.
They then put the training into practice by producing a number of front pages, themed around recycling and being eco-friendly.
Teacher Gary Munday said: “The children got a lot out of the visit and managed to produce some great work as a result.”
