PUPILS got their school active to help others less fortunate across the world.
Year 7 students at Thornden School in Chandler’s Ford have raised more than £12,000 in seven months.
This includes more than £5,000 for Lepra raised last term through a sponsored street dance workout event.
Lepra helps people affected by leprosy and other diseases linked to poverty, discrimination and disability.
The previous term the same year group raised more than £7,000 for Canine Partners, which trains assistance dogs to give disabled people more independence.
Thanks to that money, the pupils can sponsor a dog and will be able to monitor its training progress.
