A TOP dancer from Hampshire has wowed judges on a hit TV talent show for a second time.

Kai Widdrington got to the finals of ITV show Britain’s Got Talent two years ago, and is now hoping to go one step better.

He appeared in front of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams as part of new act Kings and Queens.

The 18-year-old, from Bassett in Southampton, shot to fame in 2012 alongside former dance partner Natalia Jeved.

The pair samba danced their way to the latter stages of BGT with a string of dazzling performances, but were ultimately voted out in the finals.

But Kai got his second shot off to a good start alongside his nine fellow dancers on Saturday’s audition show.

Their innovative performance featuring a mixture of different dance styles earned rave reviews from the judges.

Hampshire actress Holden called it “absolutely stunning” and a “glimpse of the future”, while Cowell added: “We’ve had some great dance acts on this show over the years.

“But I think it was incredible.”

With four stamps of approval from the judges, Kai and his act are now through to the “callback” round, where they will battle with dozens of other acts to reach the semi-finals.

Barton Peveril College student Kai has also saw success in a number of major dance competitions, winning the World Junior Latin Championships and coming third in the World Ballroom Championship.
